Welcome to the Suppliers Database

KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury has decided to create a consolidated
suppliers database to replace and consolidate all existing suppliers databases.
The purpose of this database is to ensure adherence to current legislation with
regard to preferential procurement and will serve as the registration base for
all suppliers wishing to conduct business with KwaZulu-Natal Provincial
Government.
Objectives:
- Develop a database of approved suppliers from
which to source goods & services
- Enable the effective implementation of
preferential procurement policies
- Provide reporting facilities to measure the
progress of preferential procurement initiatives
- Improved delivery of public services by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial
Government, attributed to a sound knowledge of its suppliers
Please take note:
- Preference points allocated to a supplier will
only appear on the Database in respect of those suppliers that have
submitted a completed application for registration, using the ZNT31
issued in October 2003, and which had been approved subsequently.
- The
classification/categorisation system, by means of which appropriate
suppliers are matched to goods and services required by a Department, will
only be usable in relation to approved suppliers.
